This is the official announcement for the Advent Brew event!
I've talked about it before, but basically instead of having a calendar with chocolate in it, it'll be beers in the fridge instead. Anybody can join and brew a beer of their choice, then at the December meeting we will swap bottles so everyone who is participating has a bottle from everyone. If you want to join, keep in mind that we only have 2 months to brew, ferment, condition and package this beer!
The entry window will close on Nov 1st so when all the entries are identified, we can sort them into a drinking order. Each day we can have a thread on the forum where we talk about the beer and provide any tasting notes, comments or feedback. This is where the brewer can really describe their process for the beer.
It's optional but may be interesting if people want to design labels for their bottles. At the London Homebrewer's Guild they hold a contest for the best label and the winner(s) get a prize of some sort.
If 10 people sign up, then we each only need to bring 10 bottles to swap. We will also start the calendar X days before Christmas, where X is the number of people who signed up.
If you are interested, just post below! If you know what you're going to brew then let us all know as well.
I think I'm going to brew my Belgian Dubbel w/ figs again.. but I might change my mind still.

- No style restrictions. Feel free to brew a simple blonde ale or an barrel aged spiced imperial stout.. the choice is yours!
- Have the beer bottled and reasonably ready to drink by the December meeting (December 6th)
- The bottles must be labelled in some legible way with your name, name/style of the beer and it's drinking order.
