It's grain bill is similar to an amber/brown ale, but I added the flesh from 2 roasted pie pumpkins during the whole boil, and again the flesh from 2 roasted pie pumpkins for 7 days in secondary. Half the people who have tried it don't taste the pumpkin. I do.

Tony this is a great example of the quintessential pumpkin ale. Reminds me of a warm pumpkin pie and is not spice-forward which is fantastic. I would love to hear your recipe because I'm struggling with mine and this is pretty much what I've been trying to achieve.
Aroma: prominent toffee, slightly maple candy aroma with warm spices (ginger, some nutmeg and a hint of cinnamon). I get a hint of dried fruit as well but not much.
Appearance: great deep amber colour, very clear and the head was dense and long lasting
Flavour: I get the gourd/squash flavour up front with the toffee and then the bready/toasty malt and finally the spices. Very well balanced and the spices mingle well with everything without dominating
Mouthfeel: very smooth and luscious. Full body with a sweet finish and little to no bitterness. Carbonation is medium.
Overall: great beer and a great pumpkin beer! Spices blend well and the pumpkin really boosts the body and makes this almost creamy. Not sure if I would change anything here..

Hey Tony..I loved this beer! The aroma to me was caramel/toffee with warm spices. I think that the spices were very well done as to me nothing dominated, everything was in harmony. Hop aroma was minimal so as not to compete. Flavour was rich and smooth with pumpkin and spice blending perfectly. Also the hop bitterness that followed was just enough to eliminate any lingering sweetness. I gave my wife a taste and i'm not too sure she wasn't "tasting" more while I was out at the bbq because my glass seemed to empty too quickly! Thanks for a great beer.

Thank you Alex and Peter. I really like it, and three other people did also, but itbis nice to hear it from people with a discernable pallett.
More than happy to share the recipe, Alex.

Great pumpkin ale, Tony. Again, I think I'm still not able to discern some components, but would only expect it to taste better with everything back to normal!
I get toffee with a bit of brown sugar, and spice - pretty sure it's the nutmeg that's standing out for me. The colour is a beautiful copper-amber and it's super clear. I would agree with the luscious description for mouthfeel, and carbonation is good. Flavour-wise, I'm getting malty pumpkin down the middle and more nutmeg down the sides of my tongue...for some reason, this one seems to be coming through my diminished faculties more than the others. There is some sweetness, but it's not too sweet...I'm not detecting any real bitterness, although there's enough to balance the sweetness. The spice(s) blend well without taking over, even just the one I'm able to taste right now.
I found it a bit too cold right out of the fridge - the flavours weren't as harmonious. But after a few minutes to warm slightly, everything just fell into place. Very enjoyable beer, especially on a cold winter night!
