There's been a lot of discussion online these days about whether Starsan is effective at killing yeast and mold. Essentially there are lots of claims made without much solid scientific backing or reference. Bryan Heit, the resident microbiologist at the London Homebrewer's Guild, has posted a video to help dispel this myth and I thought it would be a good video to share.. I believe the focus of his research involves this type of reaction (cell membrane ionic charges). www.youtube.com/watch?v=0JC9n50RdVoThanks for the video Bryan!

Some heavy science. But good to know the myth is debunked. Are there other types of disinfectants that compete against Starsan or others anyone has tried? Just curious.
