Hey all, I called Delhaven Orchards to see about another cider bulk buy and they let me know that they'll be pressing cider in the next few weeks. The lady said for everyone to drop off their sanitized fermenters with your name and number written in them and they will call you when they're filled. Please ensure you clean and sanitize your fermenter properly as it may end up sitting for a week or two before being filled and refrigerated. Here's some more details.
Price: $1 / L ($19/5 gal, $38/10 gal etc) Address: 8182 Talbot Trail, Cedar Springs
Same as last year, the juice they will provide is only UV pasteurized and there are no chemicals added. This is good for our yeast, but also means that if you were to leave the juice at room temp for a week or more it may actually start fermenting on its own. Moral of the story is to pitch your yeast ASAP unless you plan on going wild!
Last year we had dropped off our fermenters around Sept 18, but it seems like they're pressing earlier this year.
I will be away for 3 weeks from Aug 18-Sep 11 so I will not be taking part in the cider buy or helping out too much unfortunately. If I get more detailed information about exactly when we will be picking up the cider I will let you know, otherwise we'll have to wait until Delhaven calls.
Cheers and happy brewing!

Are they still taking drop offs? I haven't got a chance to get over yet?

I believe they are. If you are worried, give them a quick call to confirm. They have been very easy to deal with for me.
