If you guys haven't heard of it, the AHA (American Homebrewer's Association) sets up an annual Learn to Homebrew day. This is a day where clubs get together and brew several batches of beer and invite anybody who is interested in learning to brew! It's a good way to spread the homebrewing gospel, socialize and promote the club. The official day is Saturday, November 5th. If you or someone you know has a big backyard or garage they'd be willing to loan out for the day then please speak up! Without a venue we can't make this happen! I'll have to ask my wife first (but it shouldn't be a problem), but I have a double garage and a fairly large fenced back yard. The only issue is I live in Oil City so it would be a drive for everyone. If there is a closer location, that's fine, but if there is no other option and people are willing to cart their stuff out to the boonies, I can offer my place.

Oil City may be a bit far for most people, especially considering we'd be trying to attract people to learn homebrewing.
I may have a venue closer. Is anyone else willing to host that is closer to Chatham?
Also, who would be willing to bring their equipment and brew up a batch? If the venue has 240V (which the one I'm looking at does) I will be bringing my set up.

Due to lack of interest I've decided to cancel this event. But next year I'll be looking to do something so keep that in mind!
