Poured this one straight away when I got home while making dinner. Smell was light roast, medium vanilla nose. As I dug into tasting it I noted that the roast notes presented more chocolate with a nice vanilla washing over it. Body was fairly light for a porter but at 4% I expected that. Carbonation was light but it didn't suffer for it. Overall a nice easy drinking porter which is something I have never said before. Thanks Alex!

Good and smooth Porter!Aromas has tons of chocolate a bit of coffee and caramel. The taste was refreshing right to the finish. It always throws me off when I drink a darker SRM- maybe something in my head that it's going to be a thick thick beer. I also got some hints of cola on the taste- way better than a can of coke though. Not sure where you wanted the carb to be. I think it's good at this level but wouldn't mind it if had a tad more, but that's probably just personal preference. Lacing was nice as well. Thanks Alex, great brew!

Very enjoyable. Aroma hits with roasted coffee and vanilla right away. Colour is a very rich dark brown. Carbonation seemed low at first but it works for a porter as I find it gives it a creaminess when drinking. Flavour is dark rich coffee with mild roast notes. Very enjoyable porter. Good job Alex!

When first poured, there were light vanilla and some roasty notes. As the chill came off, so the aroma filled out and I could detect some coffee as well. I too was a bit surprised at the lighter body (and it's totally just in my association of darker beer with heavier body), but not disappointed - it is quite refreshing. Good flavour with the gentle vanilla and I thought a tiny bit of smokiness lingering at the end. Nice porter Alex!

Got the vanilla aroma right up front, with a little roast afterwards. Same with first taste. I usually don't like porters but the ones I do seem to be flavoured. I usually find porters cloying. This porter is rich without being thick or sweet. Finishes very clean.
I may need to investigate some small batches of porters. Maybe it isn't the style but the ones I've tried.

Very enjoyable porter. The vanilla went great with the roasted flavour. I found it a little thinner than i was expecting. Overall a tasty and very drinkable beer.
